American Hydroplane Events has created an extensive COVID-19 Protocol and Process for the screening of all personnel entering the Pits, and for other important actions to make certain the event is Safe and Healthy. This document was created with guidelines from the CDC and US, Kentucky, and local Departments of Health, and a copy has been submitted to APBA and all other appropriate Entities. In brief, each person will be screened at Registration by a Public Health representative prior to being given their credentials for entrance to the Pits. If you do not meet all criteria, you will not be allowed access to the Pits and will be given appropriate instructions. Once in the Pits, cloth face masks are strongly encouraged at all times possible and Social Distancing will be expected whenever possible. Sanitizing equipment should be frequent. CDC provided flyers will be given to everyone, and they will be displayed on large signs in and around the Pits. We are in this together, and everyone will be watching how we implement our plan, so we need your cooperation. Please contact Randy Lientz with any questions or concerns.
