Interstate 70 east of Dayton, Ohio. Look for the Clark County fair grounds. Exit off of I-70 onto S. Charleston Pike, turn left heading north to fair grounds entrance.

We also have onsite camping at $100 per spot for the weekend. We have a dump station but will also provide portable clean out per day at $25. We have a water fill up station that you can utilize to fill up your camper prior to being placed.

2 course layouts will be utilized. F1, F150, SST120, F200 and any additional big boat classes will be utilizing the five pin course with right hand turn. Total distance is a little over one mile. We will have a modified lemans beach start. Heat races will be 12 laps and Finals will be 25 laps (except F1, they will run their approved timed sessions plus 1 lap). SST45, SST60, and VP 75 will be utilizing the smaller 5 pin race course that is about .5 mile in total. They will also have a lemans start. Tri-hull that will do a rolling start on a 2 pin course. SST 45, SST 60 will run 12 lap heats with 25 lap final. Tri-Hull & VP 75 will have 10 lap heats with 15 lap final.

Modified Lemans/Beach Start

Overall $25,000 purse will be divided among the participating classes (including VP75) once entries are finalized. Classes with more boats will be weighted and rewarded accordingly.

Registration will take place at the Red Firebarn in the pits and camping area of the Clark County Fairgrounds.

Aug 25 - Noon to 5pm
Aug 26 - 8am to 4pm

Racing begins Saturday Aug 27th at 8am.

Drivers Meetings will be at 7pm in downtown Springfield at Mother Stewarts Brewery and at 8am on Sunday, Aug. 28th.

We MUST have 5 entries in a class to be put on the schedule and to be eligible for a National Championship. Deadline is Aug 1, 2022 to submit a minimum of 5 entries. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AFTER AUG 20th unless your class has entries drop below 5 during that timeframe.
Entry Fees:
F1, F150, F200, SST120, Mod U, Champ are $300.
SST45 & SST60 are $200.
Sport C, VP 75 & Tri-hull is $150.
All OPC National Classes are eligible.
All fees include a transponder except for F1 and Tri-hulls. Replacement fee on transponder is $50. Must run transponder in order to be scored. F1 and Tri-hull will run the F1 Powerboat Championship approved timing system.
LATE entry fee of $100 will be added for entries after Aug 20th

Onsite Camping for race teams is $100 per power outlet. We will have water onsite to fill your campers and race trailers prior to placing them for the weekend. Water outlets in the pit area will be shut off. There will be access to onsite showers and restrooms in the pits.

Registration for each entry the team receives 5 tickets for race weekend (includes driver). Teams will be able to purchase additional weekend tickets for $10 a piece at registration. If they are not purchased at registration then teams will have to pay full price at gates for guests. $15 per day or $25 per weekend.

Final payout will be determined on Aug 1st with registration breakdown. F1 Powerboat Class & Tri-hulls will run their season rules and points. F1 Powerboat class will be required to run VP Racing fuel. All other OPC classes will have access to non-ethanol 89 octane rec fuel onsite. Price of fuel will be posted the week of event.

-The VP 75 class is an OPC Divisional Class and does not earn APBA titles or points. (Rule 19.6)

-This is the OPC National Championship. All classes will race under APBA and OPC rules except F1 SPORT and Tri-Hull per the Agreement with APBA.

-You must be a 2022 APBA racing member with current capsule training to compete. No capsule training will be offered.

-Prize checks will be mailed within 30 days of the end of the event unless there are extenuating circumstances.

This Regatta is sanctioned through APBA

An exhibition may be performed at this event pursuant to all APBA General Safety Rules provided that proper waivers and membership forms have been completed. All prizes are the responsibility of the conducting Club. APBA does not guarantee nor is it responsible for payment of prizes. You are advised that this event may be canceled prior to the race due to circumstances beyond the control of this association. If you plan to travel a long distance, it is recommended that you contact the race sponsor prior to your departure to ensure this event will take place.
