All races start and finish at Riverside or Baker Park in Grants Pass, Oregon.

1) Marathon Jetboat Race: Points race for American Whitewater Jetboat Association (AWJA), Leg 3 U.I M. World Championship Jetboat Race, races will run concurrently with each other. U.I M. race under separate Sanction Application. RACING: Friday, May 23rd and Saturday, May 24th, 2008.
Course: Baker Park to Alameda Park and back, both days - 112 total miles.
2) Sprint Boat Exhibition: Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, 2008. Buoy course in front of Riverside Park.
3) Drag Boat Exhibition: Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, 2008. Set 1/4 mile course in front of Riverside Park.
4) Whitewater Hydroplane Race: Exhibition/Fun Run, Friday May 23, 2008. Course: buoy race in front of Riverside Park, 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. 49th Annual Whitewater Hydroplane Race - Monday, May 26, 2008. Two-lap race between Riverside Park and Robertson Bridge - 52 total miles.

Rescue Teams provided by the Oregon State Marine Board, Josephine County Sheriff Department, Josephine County Search and Rescue, American Medical Response and the Rural Metro Fire Department

SPECIAL EVENT Classes to Include: 1) Jet River Racer (00850), Marathon Jet Boat Race. 2) Jet Sprint (00860), Sprint Boat Exhibition. 3) Outboard River Racer (00870), Whitewater Hydroplane Race. 4) Inboard Drag Boat Exhibition (no computer class listed). Exhibition: 2 Vintage Outboard boats - parade laps.

1) Marathons: Prize money per class - FX, Big Block FX, B Class, A Class and Unlimited (AWJA Points Race).
Separate prize money for U.I.M. World Championship Race.
2) Jet Sprints: By Invitation - Tow money per boat, contact Grants Pass Active Club for amounts.

An exhibition may be performed at this event pursuant to all APBA General Safety Rules provided that proper waivers and membership forms have been completed. All prizes are the responsibility of the conducting Club. APBA does not guarantee nor is it responsible for payment of prizes. You are advised that this event may be canceled prior to the race due to circumstances beyond the control of this association. If you plan to travel a long distance, it is recommended that you contact the race sponsor prior to your departure to ensure this event will take place.
