In over 20 years of driving almost every Alky and Stock Outboard class, Jerry earned almost every honor and was regarded as the drivers' driver.

He set new records and won one or more national championships almost every year for a generation - all despite two serious accidents that might have ended the career of a less determined competitor. At the 1971 Outboard Nationals, Waldman won an unprecedented set of titles in A, C, D and F Hydro.
