An honored official, Don's APBA career spanned over 20 years. He started as Secretary and Treasurer and, later, Chairman, of Region 2. An early Stock Outboard Deputy Commissioner, later he became a member and finally Chairman of the SORC.
A Council member since 1955, he never missed a meeting in 14 years. He served two years as APBA President. During Don's tenure as Chairman of the Special Events Committee, Outboard Pleasure Craft, Offshore and Drag racing were incorporated into APBA.
