1969 | Calvert (Skeeter) Johnson
In 20 years of race driving, Skeeter competed in almost every Inboard hydroplane class and won one or more national championships in almost every class.
Johnson is perhaps best known for his record-setting and championships in the hotly contested 280 class and the extremely fast and dangerous 266 class.
Serious injuries from a 266 race in St. Petersburg FL in 1968 sidelined this perennial champion, but he still helped officiate at many Inboard regattas.
