In 40-plus years of APBA membership, Bob Wartinger has made major contributions to APBA and UIM, both on the race course and in the committee room.
Bob has established an astounding 116 APBA and UIM speed records—more than anyone else in the history of APBA boat racing. In APBA racing, Bob has won 24 National and High Point class Championships. He has been inducted into the prestigious APBA Hall of Champions six times for outstanding season performances.
In the UIM world, Bob has won two World Championships, in the rigid-inflatable Class 5. He serves as Chairman of the APBA Safety Committee and President of the UIM Safety and Medical Commission. Bob has fostered safety ideas that have saved numerous lives.
