1994 | Dean Chenoweth

Dean Chenoweth

Chenoweth first raced in the Stock Outboard BU class in 1950. He quickly learned the skills of boat racing with his father's help, and branched out to run all the Stock Outboard classes. In 1953 he won three national championships, all in the same day.

Chenoweth ran limited Inboard hydros in the 1960s, winning several national races. He moved up to the Unlimited boats in 1967, and is probably best known for his many victories including three APBA Gold Cup victories in the Miss Budweiser.

Chenoweth is well deserving of being named to the APBA Honor Squadron.
