1986 | Stanton T. Fitts

Fitts got his first taste of boat racing when he and his twin brother entered their homemade boat in a Stock Outboard race in 1957. Since then, Stan has been devoted to the sport on all levels.

He served both as Region 1 Treasurer and Chairman for over 12 years. As APBA Treasurer and longtime member of the Executive Committee, Fitts spearheaded efforts to move APBA forward with its first 5-year plan.

Nationally, he has also served as APBA President, Senior Vice President, Secretary, and on various committees.
