1982 | John Culver

Culver established a reputation in APBA as an outstanding official and officer as well as a competitor. He entered power boat racing as Crew Chief for his father Merlyn Culver, a fellow Squadron member.

He competed successfully in Stock and Inboard before joining the then-fledgling OPC category and becoming its first Vice President. He also served as Offshore Chief Inspector.

An ardent supporter of APBA as well as a fine official and dedicated sportsman, Culver's enthusiasm has brought many others into the sport.
