1978 | Bob Ballinger

An active member of APBA since 1939, he first competed successfully in the 225 class. He later moved into the 266 class, where he held the World Record for two years.

In addition to competing, he was instrumental in formulating many of the technical rules. After retiring from competition he served the sport in many official capacities at the local, regional and national levels.

A member of Council for 18 years, he encouraged and assisted many with the overall goal of improving the sport at all levels.
