APBA HQ Announces New Team Members

APBA HQ is pleased to introduce four individuals who have joined our team, bringing expertise and enthusiasm to their respective roles

These new appointments come as part of our ongoing commitment to providing excellence to our membership.

Erin VanOver — Race Sanctions Erin VanOver joins us as our new leader of race sanctions. VanOver recently completed her master’s in business administration and brings a fresh perspective to her role. A past inductee of our Hall of Champions, VanOver’s dedication to the sport is unparalleled. Her deep understanding of our community and her vision are instrumental in helping streamline our sanctioning process. Jeff Strohm — Propeller Editor Jeff Strohm comes to us as our new editor of the Propeller magazine. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, Strohm oversees the publication, ensuring it continues to provide valuable insights and engaging content for us. Strohm is a graphic designer and magazine editor familiar with every facet of print production. His design expertise is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of our official magazine. Dana Potts — Interim Director Dana Potts is now filling the role of interim director of the APBA. With over 25 years of motorsports experience, Potts’s career highlights include opening NASCAR’s Chicagoland Speedway, working with NHRA star Clay Millican and leading the formation of Champions Park Lake in Springfield, Ohio. Champions Park Lake has hosted numerous APBA national championships since its inaugural race in 2016. His background in motorsports and event management qualify him to guide the APBA through our next phase of growth. “I’m really excited about the future and moving APBA into our next 120-plus years of success as the oldest motorsports organization in the world.”

Will Engle — Social Media Manager Will Engle joins us as our new social media manager. Engle has background developing content as well as deep roots in our boat racing community. Engle’s family has been instrumental in the 85-plus year success of the Orange Cup Powerboat Race in Lakeland, Florida. His expertise with social media management and his passion for boat racing is invaluable to enhancing our online presence and engaging with our community. A Bright Future Ahead President Chris Fairchild shared his enthusiasm about our new team. “I’m very excited about this team and I am looking forward to them really moving the needle of growth by using both new technologies and new, streamlined processes,” said Fairchild. We invite all members and supporters to join us in welcoming them to their new roles.
