SFI

"With high demand for racing parts since the pandemic, unfortunately counterfeiters are also responding to that demand. SFI has seen a rise in fraudulent activity, particularly untested harnesses being sold with counterfeit SFI conformance labels. Beware of harnesses sold as "certified to SFI 16.1" on Ebay or Amazon with unknown brand names, or even no brand at all, as it is likely an untested harness model with counterfeit SFI labels. Counterfeiting is becoming more common with random sellers on Ebay, Amazon, DHgate, etc.

Counterfeiting is a serious concern because the products are untested and potentially unable to perform at the necessary level of safety when involved in an incident. SFI is doubling our efforts to identify and get them off the market, so you will continue to receive similar notices as we discover them. Racers, crew members, and retail sellers should buy only from reputable sources."
